Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education [Math] Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement for grades 7-8. This role emphasizes high expectations, equitable instruction, and closing achievement gaps within a collaborative school community.

The teacher will implement district goals, provide targeted small-group instruction, and develop IEP-based objectives while delivering accommodations and timely progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and MA teaching license in Moderate Disabilities for the relevant grades.
• SEI endorsement or ESL license required; highly qualified per district standards.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date; urban teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement district goals and state frameworks; support student portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
• Write and implement IEP-based goals; provide progress reports on student development.
• Provide accommodations and customize curriculum; prepare MCAS Alt assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff to support modification and student needs.
• Assist with transition planning to post-secondary options when appropriate.
