Job summary

Best Buy in Patchogue, NY, is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first contact for technology support, knowledge, and solutions for devices in our store. You’ll receive training to assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll help customers with setup, advise on repair vs replacement, and manage service queues with accurate status updates. A passion for technology and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking notes and providing accurate time estimates
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
