Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent at our Sioux Falls store to be the first point of contact for technology support, knowledge and solutions for computers and devices. We’ll provide training and resources to assess customers’ needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll help customers set up new devices, decide whether to repair or replace devices, and monitor service queues.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Preferred qualifications: passion for technology and problem solving; quick learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow‑up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
