Job summary

Best Buy is hiring a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support at our local Best Buy store. You will be trained to assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

Ideal candidates have a passion for technology and customer service, with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced retail environment and to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
