Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent role is the first point of contact for customers needing technology support. You’ll assess needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents for complex repairs in-store.

The job emphasizes delivering friendly, timely service, understanding issues with active listening, and providing accurate next-step estimates. Training and certifications are provided to grow your tech knowledge and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
