Job summary

Best Buy in Madison Heights is hiring a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support in our store. You will receive training, assess customer needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll help customers set up devices, advise on repair vs replacement, monitor queues, and provide accurate status updates. This role emphasizes excellent service and ongoing learning in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
