Job summary

Best Buy is hiring a Geek Squad Agent in Augusta, ME to be the first point of contact for technology support, knowledge and solutions at our local store. You’ll be trained to assess customer needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

This role involves helping customers with check-in and checkout, questioning to understand issues, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
