Job summary

Best Buy Co. is hiring a Geek Squad Agent in San Jose, CA. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers seeking technology support, with training to perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll assist during check-in and checkout, diagnose issues by asking questions, help customers set up devices or decide to repair or replace, and provide status updates. Must have 3 months of retail or customer service experience and be able to work holidays,

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service
• Preferred qualifications include passion for technology and ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced industry

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on repair vs replacement
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skills through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
