Job summary

Best Buy in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support. You will assess customer needs, perform basic services, and partner with other agents on more complex repairs in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include guiding customers through setup, explaining repair vs. replace options, maintaining knowledge through training, and communicating clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Preferred: Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
