Job summary

The Best Buy Geek Squad Agent role places you at the front line of technology support in our Madison, WI store, helping customers assess needs and decide on repairs or replacements.

You’ll handle check-in/out, diagnose issues by asking questions, set up devices, estimate next steps, and stay current with training, all with a flexible schedule and competitive pay. Collaborate with fellow agents to resolve more complex repairs.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking notes and providing accurate next-step estimates.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repair vs replacement decisions.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skills through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
