Job summary

Best Buy seeks a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support and solutions at our Wilkes-Barre store. You will receive training and resources to assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with colleagues on complex repairs.

You will help customers understand device options, set up new devices, and provide accurate time estimates for the next steps. This role emphasizes strong communication and ongoing learning in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
