Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a friendly Geek Squad Agent in Chicago to be the first point of contact for technology help. You’ll assist customers with setup, diagnose simple issues, and decide whether to repair or replace devices in-store.

You’ll work part-time with flexible hours, participate in training, and collaborate with other agents to deliver fast, reliable service while growing your knowledge of consumer electronics.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
