Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to the university's legal and regulatory teams, with a focus on contracts, privacy, and regulatory compliance for in-person and online programs. This remote role reports to University Counsel and involves drafting and negotiating agreements while ensuring university policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Must be admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status required.
• At least two years of legal practice experience.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; attention to detail.
• Interest in contracts, IP, privacy, IT security, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to adapt to changing regulations in a higher-education environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor, technology, data privacy, and IP agreements.
• Provide legal advice on compliance, ethics, and regulatory matters.
• Assist with international compliance for international students.
• Support privacy, FERPA, GDPR, GLBA, NCAA, TCPA and related regulatory areas.
• Perform legal research and develop educational resources for university staff.
• Collaborate with university departments and respond to student and employment matters.
• Maintain high-quality drafting and stakeholder communications.
• Remote role with limited travel (<5%).
