Job summary
Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to the university’s legal & regulatory team, faculty, and staff. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and policies for in-person and online programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with university operations.
You will advise on data privacy, technology, IT security, and various regulatory areas while supporting international compliance and student and employee matters in a fully remote
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
- Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status required.
- At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
- Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
- Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
- Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions.
Responsibilities
- Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates vendor and technology agreements and data/privacy documents.
- Reviews group student communications for regulatory compliance.
- Provides legal advice on ethical operations and compliance.
- Assists with international compliance for international students.
- Assists with intellectual property matters as requested.
- Supports privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, and Title VI compliance as learned.
