Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to university stakeholders, focusing on contracts, privacy, and regulatory compliance. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements spanning vendor, technology, IP, and data privacy matters.

This is a remote position with limited travel (<5%). The attorney will work with the legal and regulatory team, faculty, and staff to support in-person and online education while aligning with university policy and applicable laws.

Formación

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted to and in good standing with at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status is required.
• At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and regulatory compliance for higher education.

Responsabilidades

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and alliances, and agreements involving data privacy and security, international matters, and intellectual property.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population.
• Assists with intellectual property matters as requested.
• Supports the legal and compliance groups with areas of law such as privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing to ensure University compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
