Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Field Sales Consultant in California to generate leads and present in-home solar solutions. You will build relationships, qualify needs, and guide customers from initial contact through installation.

Travel within local markets, flexible hours, and strong communication are essential. Competitive commissions and incentives accompany a base salary, with total earnings averaging $60k–$90k in California in the first year.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, with in-home sales experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and pass a driving background check.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to address customer needs.
• Willingness to travel within local market, depending on business needs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Intermediate comfort level with technology, using an IPAD/computer and multiple software applications (CRM a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, leads and appointments.
• Provide an industry leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation.
• Conduct in-home sales presentations and assess customer needs to build lasting relationships.
• Manage the pipeline from prospect to install and follow up with leads and consultations.
• Accurately report outcomes via the CRM tool.
• Meet minimum sales targets set by leadership.
