Job summary

Sunrun in California seeks a Field Sales Consultant to generate leads, present our solar products in-home, and guide customers from initial contact to installation. You’ll build relationships, report outcomes in our CRM, and meet sales targets while traveling within the local market and working flexible hours to fit homeowners’ schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, with in-home sales experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner cross-functionally when addressing customer needs.
• Willingness to travel within local market and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Intermediate comfort with technology, using an IPAD/computer and multiple software applications (CRM a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, leads and appointments with potential customers.
• Provide an industry-leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the system is turned on.
• Conduct in-home sales presentations and evaluate customers’ knowledge and needs, building productive long-lasting relationships.
• Handle pipeline of activity from prospect to install by following up with all leads and in-home consultations.
• Accurately disposition and report on outcomes via CRM tool.
• Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership.
