Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Field Sales Consultant in California to self-generate leads and present in-home solar products and services. You will build genuine connections with homeowners, qualify opportunities, and guide them from initial contact through installation.

The role emphasizes outdoor field work, travel within the local market, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license and CRM familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, with in-home sales experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner cross-functionally when addressing customer needs.
• Willingness to travel locally within the market and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Experience with an IPAD/computer and multiple software applications; CRM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, leads and appointments with potential customers.
• Provide an industry leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the system is turned on.
• Conduct in-home sales presentations and assess customers’ knowledge and needs to build relationships.
• Manage the pipeline from prospect to install by following up on all leads and consultations.
• Accurately document outcomes via the CRM tool.
• Meet minimum sales targets as set by leadership.
