Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to design and install customized home security and IoT solutions for residential customers. You will perform in-home assessments, educate customers on app features, and ensure systems integrate smoothly with existing setups.

You’ll install devices, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support while identifying upsell opportunities to grow protection and value for families. This role emphasizes hands-on service and proactive customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems.
• Ability to design and set up integrated home security systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
• Ability to lift and work indoors/outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection.
