Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a home setup that protects what they value most. You’ll combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, helping customers understand how security, IoT devices, and smart home products work together.

You will deliver in-home consultations, install devices, educate customers on the app and features, and ensure every solution fits their unique needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean record; location-based licensing may apply.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart devices and home networks.
• Ability to guide on system design and setup to meet safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices.
• Integrate new products with existing setups.
• Troubleshoot technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen protection.
