Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled PT services in patients’ homes under a licensed PT. You’ll help improve mobility, strength, balance and independence while ensuring safety and coordination with patients, caregivers, and the care team.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, supporting discharge planning, and contributing to quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE.
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of PTA experience in home health preferred to ensure safe care.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Record patient responses and report changes to PT and clinical staff.
• Promote safety, mobility, balance, and independence at home.
