Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver high-quality therapy in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help patients regain mobility and independence while documenting progress and collaborating with a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of related PTA experience recommended for home health settings; mentoring/residency possible for less experienced candidates.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Document supervisory activities in patient records.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed.
• Participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate follow-up care.
