Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled care in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence while promoting safety and comfort at home.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, coordinating with the care team, and contributing to quality improvement activities.

Formación

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year PTA home health experience or mentored-equivalents if less than one year.

Responsabilidades

• Provides PT services under supervision and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Promotes wellness and prevention and documents activities in the medical record.
• Participates in patient care conferences, in-services, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up with referring agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
