Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home, non-medical support to adults and seniors in client homes across Maine. No experience is required as training and ongoing supervision are provided.

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on performance and certifications. We offer full-time and part-time schedules, flexible day, evening, weekend, and overnight options, plus mileage reimbursement where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, groceries, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and help with daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Follow client service plans and complete required documentation on time.
• Maintain infection control and safety guidelines.
• Protect client confidentiality per HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
• Treat clients with dignity and respect; maintain dependable attendance.
