Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors. You will work directly in clients' homes following an individualized plan of care, promoting safety, independence, and comfort with dignity and respect.

No experience is required—we train you and provide ongoing supervision. Flexible scheduling includes full-time or part-time shifts, day, evening, weekend, and overnight options where available, with mileage reimbursement when

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands as per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in client condition or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines, maintain client confidentiality.
