Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home, non-medical care for adults and seniors. No experience needed—we train and support you to help clients live safely and independently in their homes.

Pay is $17.00–$20.00 per hour with opportunities for raises and certifications; schedules include full-time or part-time options, day/evening/overnight shifts, and mileage reimbursement where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Not listed on Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently and in home settings.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without mobility aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in client condition or safety concerns.
• Follow client service plans and complete required documentation on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents promptly.
• Treat clients with dignity and respect; maintain dependable attendance.
