Job summary

MaineTouch seeks Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care for adults and seniors. You will work in client homes under an individualized plan, performing daily living tasks and monitoring safety.

No experience needed; training and ongoing support are provided. Flexible full-time or part-time schedules, with day/evening/overnight shifts available and mileage reimbursement where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, compassionate, and willing to learn.
• No experience required—training provided and ongoing support.
• Active Maine PSS certification (or enrollment within 60 days of hire) requested.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support mobility and transfers using safe techniques and aids as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and bed linens.
• Prepare meals and run errands per care plan and schedule.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe changes and report safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control, safety guidelines, and client confidentiality.
