Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical support for adults and seniors. No experience needed; training provided.

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time options and flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights where applicable. As a PSS you will work in client homes, follow care plans, document accurately, and receive ongoing supervision and support from a dedicated office team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required – training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry and meals as per plan.
• Provide companionship and assist with daily routines.
• Observe changes and report to supervisor promptly.
• Follow client service plan and MaineTouch policies.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain client confidentiality and respond to emergencies.
