Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home, non-medical care for adults and seniors. You will work in client homes, assisting with daily living activities according to each plan of care and company guidelines.

No prior experience is required; training and ongoing supervision are provided. Competitive pay with opportunities for raises, certifications, and career growth; positions available full-time and part-time with flexible day/evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• Not listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation preferred (assignment dependent).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers safely.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands per the care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactions.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents promptly.
