Job summary

Closet Factory is seeking an In-Home Sales Designer to join our Bay Area team. You will meet with homeowners, translate spaces into thoughtful custom designs, and guide clients from initial consultation through installation.

No interior design degree is required; we provide comprehensive training in our products, design software, and proven sales approach. This is a consultative sales position with strong creative components and earning potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong listening and presentation skills.
• The confidence to guide clients through a purchasing decision and ask for the sale.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at different stages.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately measure spaces.
• Comfort using computers and learning new software.
• Motivation to develop referrals, relationships, and new business.
• A strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to understand needs, priorities, style, and budget.
• Evaluate and accurately measure their space.
• Assess belongings and determine how space should function.
• Create customized designs tailored to each client and their home.
• Help clients select materials, finishes, colors, hardware, accessories, and other options.
• Present designs and recommendations.
• Prepare and present proposals and pricing.
• Guide clients through the decision-making process and ask for the sale.
• Coordinate with internal teams and follow projects through manufacturing and installation.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout projects.
• Develop relationships, referrals, and own sources of new business.
