Job summary

Closet Factory is seeking an In-Home Sales Designer to join our Bay Area team. You’ll meet homeowners in their homes, assess space, create customized designs, present proposals, and guide clients from consultation to installation.

This consultative role blends sales, design, and project management, with training provided. Earn 70k to 150k+ annually on a 100% commission model, plus benefits and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong listening and presentation skills.
• The confidence to guide clients through a purchasing decision and ask for the sale.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple clients and projects at different stages.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately measure spaces.
• Comfort using computers and learning new software.
• The motivation to develop referrals, relationships, and new business.
• A strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and follow-through.
• An eye for design and the ability to visualize possibilities within a space.
• A positive, energetic, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to understand their needs, priorities, style, and budget.
• Evaluate and accurately measure their space.
• Assess belongings and determine how the space should function.
• Create customized designs tailored to each client and home.
• Help clients select materials, finishes, colors, hardware, and other options.
• Present designs and recommendations.
• Prepare and present proposals and pricing.
• Guide clients through the decision-making process and ask for the sale.
• Coordinate with internal teams through manufacturing and installation.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout their projects.
• Develop relationships, referrals, and sources of new business.
