Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students across elementary, middle and high school levels. You will coach and mentor students to boost academic success, attendance, and positive school behaviors, planning progress and collaborating with teachers on instruction.

We provide 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year, plus ongoing support from partner teachers and school staff to help you succeed in this full-time AmeriCorps role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year will support you.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academics, attendance, and behavior.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and work with teachers on class instruction and student support.
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students in 1:1 and small groups.
• Contribute to extended day and after-school programs including enrichment, homework help, and student clubs.
