Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps program seeks an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students across elementary to high school levels. You will coach and mentor students to achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors, collaborating with teachers on classroom activities.

Training is provided (2–4 weeks at start) and you'll work with partner teachers and staff throughout the year to ensure student progress and engagement in school activities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided at start of year.
• Commitment to service and community impact.
• Ability to work with students and teachers in diverse school settings.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math skills with varied activities.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress using City Year data system.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space in coordination with teachers.
