Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is seeking an entry-level, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students across elementary to high school. You will coach, mentor, and monitor progress, with initial 2–4 weeks of training to help you get started.

You will collaborate with teachers to boost literacy, math, attendance, and positive behaviors in a school setting. As a valued team member, you’ll participate in whole-school initiatives, support student enrichment programs, and gain exposure to

Qualifications

• Experience in all these tasks is not necessary. We provide 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year to support you.
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and student data.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academics and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress.
• Work with teachers on in-class instruction and student support.
• Lead small group and 1:1 sessions.
• Help create engaging, safe classroom space.
• Support after-school and enrichment programs.
