City Year AmeriCorps is seeking an entry-level Student success coach and mentor to support students across elementary, middle and high schools. You will coach and mentor students to achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors, under structured AmeriCorps training.

You will collaborate with teachers, participate in classroom activities, and help design engaging, supportive learning environments while benefiting from City Year/AmeriCorps resources and a strong

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students across elementary, middle and/or high school levels to improve academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and collaborate with teachers on in-class support.
• Develop literacy and math skills with varied activities tailored to each student.
• Create an engaging, safe classroom space in collaboration with teachers.
• Support school-wide initiatives, extended-day and virtual programming, and student clubs.
• Recognize and celebrate student growth through events or programs.
