Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to conduct on-site newborn hearing screens at Raleigh General and other hospital locations. You will receive on-the-job training with American Academy of Audiology certification and educate families on the importance of early detection and intervention.

Responsibilities include data collection, screen administration, strict adherence to safety protocols, and timely reporting of results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on screening relevance.
• Follow PPE, vaccination and safety protocols and report concerns.
• Assess screen readiness before testing to ensure reliable results.
• Collect demographic data and document screen results per protocol.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
