Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens on-site at one or more hospital locations. You will receive on-the-job training, including annual American Academy of Audiology certification, to improve early detection of hearing impairments.

You will educate parents, document results, and coordinate follow-up for refer babies, while maintaining confidentiality and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in the hospital during each shift.
• Collect data/demographics and document results per protocol.
• Educate parents about the relevance of screening and next steps.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-up.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by shift end.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies.
