Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an on-site Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on the importance of early detection. Training will be provided, including annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

You will handle screening procedures, document data, and communicate results and follow-up steps to families, while maintaining safety and confidentiality during shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.
• One to three months of experience with newborns or in a medical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screens and provide parent education on screening importance.
• Ensure readiness of patients and perform screens with reliable results.
• Collect data and demographics, document per protocol, and complete end-of-shift reporting.
• Educate families and coordinate follow-up appointments for refer babies.
