Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based screens after birth. This on-site role supports early detection with on-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

You will screen eligible newborns, document results, educate families on importance of early intervention, and coordinate follow-up when needed. A high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and weekend/holiday flexibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect data and demographics; ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
• Notify supervisors of any missed or refer babies and coordinate follow-up.
