Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to provide on-site hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents about early intervention.

On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology accredited certification are provided. The role requires working at High Point Medical Center and other hospital locations as needed, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain on offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on results and next steps.
• Collect data and demographics for each baby and ensure proper documentation.
• Screen babies when in appropriate state to ensure reliable results.
• Update screening results and state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule outpatient appointments as needed.
