Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to conduct hospital-based hearing screens for newborns. You will screen babies, collect data, and educate families on the importance of early intervention, working on-site at Raleigh General and other hospital locations.

This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification, with a focus on accuracy, patient care, and timely communication with families and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide education to parents.
• Collect data/demographics and document screen results for each baby.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift; ensure data accuracy.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed; participate in follow-up as directed.
