Hope Network in Lapeer, MI is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Milleville Place, part-time 1st shift (16 hours) on-site. You will support individuals to achieve independence, assist with daily living activities, and promote community participation while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Commitment to scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with various check patterns.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trust and empathy through consistent communication.
• Foster partnerships with individuals, community, and professionals.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transportation needs.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team.
• Document care plans and progress accurately.
