Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in building independence and community integration on-site in Lapeer, MI. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, and coordinate with care teams to implement care plans.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and teamwork, with shifts that include weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or GED and a Michigan driver’s license are required; wage starts at $17.13 per hour and benefits

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with various check formats.
Support crisis prevention, intervention and resolution.
Establish collaborative relationships through trust and empathy.
Foster partnerships with individuals served, the community, and other professionals.
Help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
Assist individuals with social, leisure, and community activities (transport to events).
Assist with activities of daily living (getting to places, dressing, bathing, grooming, nails, restroom, cooking).
Monitor vitals for medical conditions or illness.
Promote positive behavior and attend medical appointments.
