Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Milleville Place in Lapeer, MI. This on-site, part-time role includes a 3rd shift schedule (16 hours) and requires lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid Michigan driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid certification eligibility.

You will support individuals in daily living, community involvement, and health monitoring. The position offers meaningful client interaction, ongoing training, and a chance to grow in a supportive team environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Shift flexibility: full-time/part-time including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships with individuals served and care team.
• Foster partnerships with community, professionals, and families.
• Help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist with social and leisure activities (outings, events).
• Assist with activities of daily living (nutrition, hygiene, mobility).
• Monitor vitals as needed and relay information to medical providers.
• Attend medical appointments and document care plans accurately.
• Connect individuals with community opportunities and employment goals.
