Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Milleville Place in Lapeer, MI, for full-time 2nd shift (32 hours). The DSP helps individuals build independence, assists with activities of daily living, and supports community participation with a compassionate, safety-minded approach.

Key requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, CPR/First Aid certification, and reliable attendance for weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and become CPR/First Aid certified.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 and perform checks as needed.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trust-based relationships through clear communication.
• Help individuals participate in community activities and routines.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to care team.
• Document care plans accurately and timely.
• Support community participation, independence, and employment goals.
