Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 1 in Clearfield County Child Welfare to help children and families achieve safer, more stable lives. You will learn essential casework skills within a supportive team that prioritizes respect and effective problem solving.

The Department of Human Services encourages motivated applicants ready to serve the community. The role emphasizes direct client support, community resource navigation, and adherence to child welfare policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

• Team Collaboration: Work with coworkers to reach positive outcomes for families
• Regulation Application: Apply laws and policies to support safe and appropriate resolutions
• Client Assistance: Support individuals with varied physical, emotional, and economic needs

Formation

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in sociology etc. and one year of paraprofessional case management
