Qualifications

• Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college coursework with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 college credits in social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.
• Applicants may meet education requirements within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

• Assist children, youth, and families in working toward improved social and emotional adjustment.
• Collect essential background details to understand client needs.
• Provide guidance to clients and family members addressing challenges.
• Help clients access community and agency supports.
• Engage in required classroom and fieldwork training during the probationary period.
