Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a County Caseworker 1 in Clearfield County to assist children and families toward safer, more stable lives. You will guide families through challenges, learn about community services, and complete required forms with a supportive team.

The role emphasizes respect, problem solving, and aiding diverse clients with varied needs. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.

Responsibilities

• Family Support: Guide children and families through challenges to improve home stability
• Resource Learning: Learn community services and help clients complete necessary forms
• Team Collaboration: Work with coworkers to reach positive outcomes for families
• Regulation Application: Apply laws and policies to support safe and appropriate resolutions
• Client Assistance: Support individuals with varied physical, emotional, and economic needs

Education

Two years experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience
