Qualifications

• Four years of experience in public or private social work including two years in a public welfare program, and two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning: Prepare service plans and budget estimates based on community needs and resources.
• Service Coordination: Coordinate child welfare services with other county programs and partner agencies.
• Staff Supervision: Oversee lower level supervisors and guide their daily responsibilities.
• Policy Guidance: Interpret state and federal regulations and advise staff on proper application.
• Report Oversight: Direct the preparation of reports, correspondence, and recordkeeping activities.
• Community Representation: Represent the agency in meetings and collaborate with courts and community partners.
