SouthState Bank is seeking an experienced Consumer Real Estate Underwriter to join our team. You will underwrite real estate loans, review financials, and ensure adherence to policy guidelines while maintaining the quality and profitability of the loan portfolio.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of consumer underwriting experience in banking, strong interpersonal and computer skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years consumer underwriting in Banking
• Knowledge: Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills, ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite consumer real estate loans within prescribed time frames.
• Available for pre-qualification discussion with lender, prior to loan submission.
• Responsible for reviewing and making approval decisions with respect to loans within his/her authority
• Analyze tax returns and prepare cash flow analysis
• Responsible for performing review of valuation methods to include tax assessments, appraisals and Automated Valuation Models.
• Presents a neat and professional personal appearance, in accordance with bank policy.
